Job description

The Landlord Compliance & Building Safety Manager is a pivotal member of the Compliance & FM team, Assets directorate and wider business. 

Working alongside the Asset Data Manager and FM & Estates Manager and reporting directly to the Head of Service of Compliance,  Facilities and Estates

Overseing all landlord compliance and Building Safety, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations like the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, Gas Safety Regulations, electrical wiring standards and others. You will: 

  • Develop and implement: Create, own and manage policies, processes, and the associated Building Safety programs;
  • Lead and manage: Oversee a team of compliance colleagues and support functions;
  • Ensure accuracy: Maintain accurate, assured records and data for audits, programming and reporting;
  • Budget management: Maintain accurate financial records, delivering forecasts, reports and efficiencies through your team;
  • Contract management: Manage contractual and performance relationships with our subsidiary, Llanw and other contractors;
  • Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues from across the organisation seeking connections to improve performance, data and building safety;
  • Continuous improvement: Seek ways to enhance Building Safety services and outcomes for our customers.

 

 

Your primary service areas will include, but not be limited to, domestic, communal, and commercial gas servicing, electrical testing, water and legionella risk, asbestos management, lift and lifting equipment inspections, building safety, early warning systems, radon and renewable heating, 

In addition, you will also be required to work alongside the Technical Fire Safety Manager and the Assets team to oversee Building Safety within the organisation and advise and guide in relation to the forthcoming Building Safety Bill, and other supporting regulations to ensure compliance.
