Accessibility Statement

Tai Pawb is committed to providing an accessible experience for all users, to make it inclusive for people who use assistive technology to interact with websites.

The World Wide Web Consortium, known as “W3C”, has laid out detailed guidelines for websites to follow as part of their Website Accessibility Initiative.

To achieve this, we have implemented and follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, which should also make this website compliant with the Equality Act 2010. By meeting at least Level AA of these accessibility standards, the pages of this site should meet all Priority 1 and 2 requirements.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using relative font sizes, so that viewers can re-size the text in-browser for their convenience.
  • Providing alternative text for non-decorative images and visual content to ensure that users who are visually impaired can access the information contained within.
  • Ensuring that all text and visual content has sufficient contrast to make it easily readable for users with colour blindness or low vision without the need to change the page.
  • Making sure that all forms can be operated using a keyboard to assist users who are unable to use a mouse.
  • Providing audio descriptions or transcripts for video content to ensure that users who are deaf or hard of hearing can access the information contained within.
  • Using descriptive headings and labels to make it easy for users who rely on screen readers to understand the structure and content of the page.
  • Providing as much content as possible in the primary languages of our audiences; English and Welsh.

Changing your settings

The modern browsers we support feature in-built accessibility tools, including zoom and text-resizing, which preclude the need for more controls in the site.

You can change the text size or adjust the page zoom in your browser by following these instructions:

Third party content

Our website may contain third-party content. We do not have control over and are not responsible for the accessibility or primary language of this content, but we make best endeavours to work with accessible third parties where possible. Any instances where content does not meet accessibility or language standards are usually an example of disproportionate burden upon Tai Pawb.

This content may include:

  • Links to websites not operated by Tai Pawb
  • Content provided directly by our members and uploaded to the site by them directly
  • Historical content migrated from previous versions of the website that were not compliant
  • Content or functionality on our website that is hosted on a third-party site or service
  • Content hosted on other websites, such as social media sites
  • Documents which are sent to us and uploaded to our site

Reporting issues

We endeavour to provide a positive and accessible experience for all users. If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our website, please let us know. We will make every effort to address your concerns.

If you have any ongoing concerns about the accessibility of this website or any other, it is easy to report it to online charity Fix the Web, who work to make the internet a more accessible place.
