Job description

One part-time Scheme Support Officers in a Supported Accommodation scheme in Newport. The working pattern can vary between days, sleep-ins and weekend/bank holiday availability.

About the role -

This is a Scheme Support Officer role based in our Supported accommodation service, In2Change, Newport. We have a team of Lead Project Workers, Project Workers & Scheme Support Officers. Providing 24/7 Support to our diverse group of customers.

Working in a team, you will provide support to a diverse range of people (18+). All are from various backgrounds, currently experiencing trauma and having complex needs. These can range from alcohol or substance misuse, mental health, anti-social behaviour. Through using a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) & working with external agencies, you will help provide deliver meaningful activities/workshops. Alongside providing housing related support to equip our customers with the knowledge, skills and tools that they need to be able to live independent lives.

Skills and Experience Needed -

Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.

A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
