Race Equality: policy and practice 

The past year has been a watershed moment in highlighting the need to address racial inequality in our society – the housing sector, no less.

Inquiries, policies, and staff, tenant and sector-based conversations – they’ve all played a part in framing how we’ll take this forward and work towards positive and sustainable changes in order that we better reflect our staff bases and the communities we serve.

Our ‘Race Equality: policy and practice’ event brings together topical information, practical advice & good practice, and learned experiences from other organisations.

Joined by a fantastic line up of speakers, we will be looking at:

• progress on Welsh Government’s Race Equality Plan and its significance for housing
• how organisations can recruit to and create diverse and inclusive boards
• how some organisations are engaging with staff on race inequality and early steps in their plans
• understanding white privilege and its impact

There will also be opportunities for you to ask questions and discuss your own best practice or any challenges you have faced.
