Did you know that Wales helped change the world through LGBTQ+ activism?
In this powerful talk, acclaimed author and historian Norena Shopland explores the groundbreaking role Wales has played in shaping LGBTQ+ rights since the 1950s.
From sweeping legal changes and bold new forms of activism to major milestones in politics, the armed forces, health, the arts and more — much of it has roots in the liberal spirit of a small country with a big impact.
This session will celebrate Wales’s LGBTQ+ accomplishments over the past 70 years, and ask why we should take Pride in what our country has achieved.
This session is not to be missed!
Who should attend?
Everyone! Perfect for history enthusiasts, changemakers, allies, and anyone interested in LGBTQ+ rights and Welsh heritage.
Hosted by..... Norena Shopland
