Tai Pawb continues to be significantly involved with the Renting Homes Act, and we are proud to be part of the Renting Homes Implementation Group and also its predecessor the Renting Homes Key Stakeholder Group.
The Renting Homes Act has now received Royal Assent and the next stages are underway before final implementation which is estimated to be in 2018. There is a significant amount of work which is still to be done in relation to renting homes and Tai Pawb is continuing to work closely, along with other key stakeholders, as part of the Renting Homes Implementation Group. As part of this work there will be a number of consultations which we will be taking part in. We will be contacting our members and key stakeholders in due course in relation to these to ensure we continue to accurately represent your views in our responses.
You can access our consultation responses to date below:
- Renting Homes – A Better Way for Wales (2013)
- Renting Homes – Illustrative Model Contract (2014)
- Renting Homes Bill – National assembly for Wales (2015)
- National Assembly for Wales – additional information 1. (2015)
- National Assembly for Wales – additional evidence 2. (2015)
As part of our continued work and in addition to engaging with the Welsh Government and the National Assembly for Wales we have also supported the ‘Renting Homes Bill and the private rented sector’ paper and run a successful briefing event. Presentations from the event and the paper we produced looking at the equality considerations for the implementation of Renting Homes are available from the links below:
