Deeds not Words Day of Action for Race Equality Week

On 8th February we held our second Deeds not Words Day of Action.

We’re once again overwhelmed with the fantastic response from our members, highlighting their commitments and the actions they have taken since signing the pledge.

Thank you to Caredig, Ateb, Newydd Housing Association, Llamau, ClwydAlyn, Cynon Taf Community Housing Group, United Welsh, Hafod, Merthyr Tydfil Housing Associaton, First Choice Housing Association, Cadwyn Housing, Bron Afon, Monmouthshire Housing Association, and Merthyr Valleys Homes for participating.

We were pleased to see how far people have come over the 3 years since we introduced the pledge.

Congratulations to those housing organisations that have undergone anti-racism training, have improved collection of actionable data, have implemented active EDI groups, improved board and staff diversity, implemented hate crime reporting mechanisms, published robust anti-racism action plans, worked with communities and listened to lived experience, and have celebrated diversity.
