Annual Report and Board Update

Written by Stewart Harding

Tai Pawb is pleased to announce that Janice Bell has been named as our new Chair.

Janice is Head of Support at United Welsh and was previously our Vice-Chair, and so we’re sure her transition will be smooth and we’ve no doubt she’ll continue to steer Tai Pawb forwards with the full support of the rest of the board.

I feel privileged to have been elected as Chair of Tai Pawb. I have been a board member since 2012 and have seen the organisation go from strength to strength. We are particularly proud of the development of the QED award and, as Chair, I will be leading Tai Pawb in our objective to inspire Wales to be a fairer place to live.

This follows Michelle Reid stepping down as Chair after 2 years, but staying on the board. We’re delighted to retain Michelle’s experience, and thank her for her enthusiasm and hard work she has put into her time as Chair.

Jonathan Conway, Resident Engagement Officer at Newport City Homes, has stepped up to fill Janice’s position as Vice-Chair.

I’m over the moon to be appointed as the Vice Chair for Tai Pawb and am really looking forward to working with Janice to help Tai Pawb achieve its aim of improving equality and diversity across the Welsh housing sector.

Joining the board is Sarah Prescott, Director of Resources at Valleys to Coast Housing, along with BAWSO’s Chief Executive Mutale Merrill OBE.

Sam Morgan and Frances Beecher have decided to step down and we’d like to thank them for their involvement in their time on the board.

We are very please that this gives us a 50:50 gender split and you can see details on all of our staff and board members here.
