Leading Differently on Diversity
The aim of this practical course is to enable participants to think both about leading diversity in its widest sense and about their leadership/management style with a view to improving their effectiveness as a leader and manager of a diverse workforce.
This training is aimed towards upskilling those in management roles by looking at their own roles as leaders and how they are able to use this to challenge existing practices and views around equality and diversity and make changes to improve outcomes.
Objectives – The Learners will be able to:
🏠 Describe how equality needs to be considered and invested in all activities
🏠 Describe how impact we all have on diversity practice and begin to assess that impact
🏠 Explain different leadership styles
🏠 Reflect on their own leadership
🏠 Use case studies to show how difference can be managed
🏠 Demonstrate how they can encourage diversity in their organisation.
🏠 Challenge constructively
🏠 Plan for changes they wish to make to how they lead and work with a diverse workforce.
Anyone in a leadership or management role who wishes to improve the way they lead on diversity within that role.
